Sky Facts- Astronomy for Kids
There are a lot more questions than there are answers.  Here at Astronomy for Kids, we don't have all the answers, either, but we try to have easy to understand answers to some questions.
Planetary guide-  Shows where the planets are and moon phases.  CAUTION:  The sky maps on the site use the time for Indianapolis, Indiana (where I live). From now until fall, we  are on the same time as Chicago. You should be able to see the events mentioned here at  approximately the same time in your area.
The Nine Planets -At this site, you can take a tour of the solar system, stopping to read about each of the planets as well as experience some of the sights and sounds related to each planet.
JPL's Profiles on Planets-  The Jet Propulsion Laboratory works closely with NASA in exploring the solar system and provides a great deal of information about its research on the Internet.

Welcome to the Reference Shelf On Shoemaker- Levy 9 !  - The Reference Shelf is a list of pages on the World Wide Web that contain basic information about the solar system and Shoemaker-Levy 9, with links to lots of other pages. Think of it as a shelf full of multimedia "books" that you can use when you do your research. To start using any of these resources, just click on its name.

To Live and work abord a Space Shuttle:
Welcome on board the Space Shuttle!
This website is about how the astronauts live and work aboard the Space Shuttle. In microgravity, most routine activities, such as preparing a meal or bathing, are no longer easy chores and require the use of special equipment and techniques. This website was built to demonstrate how astronauts accomplish the daily routines on board and conduct the work that needs to be completed during their mission.

Astronauts
The term "astronaut" derives from the Greek words meaning "space sailor," and refers to all who have been launched as crew members aboard NASA spacecraft bound for orbit and beyond. Since the beginnings of NASA we have also maintained the term "astronaut" as the title for those selected to join the corps of NASA astronauts, who make "space sailing" their profession.

Welcome to the astronaut biographies home page, providing biographical information regarding those who participate or have participated in NASA’s space flight programs as candidates for, or members of, space flight crews.
